Larkin has expanded his trade destination list, but is it enough to find a new home?

Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin remains in trade discussions, but a move is complicated by his limited list of approved destinations. Although Larkin expanded his initial three-team preference list to eight or nine clubs, many of those preferred teams lack the necessary salary cap space to take on his $8.7 million cap hit, according to insider David Pagnotta on Daily Faceoff LIVE.
Pagnotta reported that the Montreal Canadiens are prepared to complete a trade for Larkin immediately, but Larkin and his family have so far declined that option. Other preferred contenders such as the Minnesota Wild, Colorado Avalanche, and Washington Capitals currently face salary cap constraints, likely forcing Larkin to expand his list further to secure a swift trade.
