Mercedes is on course to secure both the 2026 Formula 1 drivers' and constructors' world championships, marking a dominant return under the new regulations. With 11 wins across 17 grands prix, Mercedes leads second-placed Ferrari by 134 points in the constructors' standings. Driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli leads teammate George Russell by 102 points in the drivers' championship.
While Antonelli can mathematically clinch the drivers' title at the upcoming United States Grand Prix in Austin, Mercedes cannot secure the constructors' crown until at least the Mexican Grand Prix. With 258 points remaining, Ferrari remains the only realistic threat to Mercedes, though the title is most likely to be clinched at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
