Will Lankshear has had an excellent start to his first season at Middlesbrough

Eric Paylor writes that Middlesbrough striker Will Lankshear is well on track to reach 20 goals this season under head coach Kim Hellberg. The summer signing has scored eight goals in his opening 11 league and cup appearances. If Lankshear hits the 20-goal milestone, he will become only the second Boro player to do so in their debut season over the past 30 years, following Fabrizio Ravanelli.
Paylor highlights Hellberg's tactical development of players, noting previous adjustments made for Tommy Conway and Seb Berhalter, as crucial to unlocking Lankshear's full potential. The writer praises the former Tottenham Hotspur forward's finishing ability both on the ground and in the air, including a notable headed equalizer against Millwall.
