Jeremy Sarmiento has revealed that Middlesbroughâs players use video analysis of Brighton matches to help them develop their playing style
Middlesbrough winger Jeremy Sarmiento has revealed that manager Kim Hellberg uses video clips of Brighton to help implement his tactical style. Sarmiento, who joined Boro on a permanent transfer from Brighton in the summer, explained that Hellberg's approach shares strong similarities with the high-pressing, fluid system used by Fabian Hurzeler. The squad studies Brighton and other elite teams during tactical meetings to adopt specific details on the training pitch.
The tactical approach has contributed to a strong start for Middlesbrough, who sat third in the Championship table heading into the international break. Sarmiento noted that the video sessions pay off during matches as Boro aim to push for promotion after narrowly missing out last season.
