Preston North End sign experienced midfielder Greg Docherty on a deal until the end of the season.

Preston North End have completed the signing of free-agent midfielder Greg Docherty on a contract running through the end of the season. The 30-year-old former Charlton Athletic captain had been without a club since departing Charlton in September following the summer transfer window.
Prior to signing, Docherty spent two weeks training with manager Graham Alexander's squad and featured for North End's Under-21 side. Docherty previously earned promotions from League One during his stints with both Hull City and Charlton.
