QPR kept hold of the defender in the end over the summer despite transfer speculation linking him with a departure.

Writer Harry Mail argues that Queens Park Rangers will be relieved they retained 23-year-old defender Liam Morrison following a significant injury to Amadou Mbengue. Morrison was linked with a transfer to Swedish side AIK in late August, but he remained at the club past the deadline. Mbengue suffered a serious injury during QPR's recent 4-1 Championship victory over Derby County and is now facing a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
Mail suggests that QPR must shelve any potential plans to offload Morrison in the upcoming January transfer window. Morrison, who is contracted at Loftus Road until June 2028, has not yet featured this season under manager Julien Stephan but offers crucial defensive depth as the club contends for promotion.
