Sheffield United CEO Stephen Bettis tells BBC Radio Sheffield the Blades expect to avoid an EFL points deduction but won't reinvest summer transfer haul in January.

Sheffield United chief executive Stephen Bettis stated the club does not expect an English Football League points deduction following the liquidation of purchasing company COH Sports Bidco Limited. Bettis explained that legal advice suggests the penalty should not apply because the liquidated entity was no longer part of the club's corporate group when the winding-up petition was filed.
However, Bettis acknowledged that risks of penalties or fines remain while the EFL investigation continues. He also confirmed ongoing discussions with former owner Prince Abdullah regarding an outstanding £35m payment from the club's takeover.
