Sheffield Wednesday interim manager Matt Hamshaw has revealed that summer signing Jordi Liongola is nearing a return to action. Hamshaw has not ruled out the 26-year-old being available for Sunday's League One clash against Blackpool at Hillsborough. Liongola has been sidelined for just over two months after suffering a hamstring injury during training in August.

The Burundi international has only featured once in League One this season, appearing in Wednesday's opening day win over Leyton Orient. Hamshaw confirmed Liongola and fellow injured attacker Louie Barry are receiving limited minutes in training as their recoveries progress.
