The Story in 60 Seconds

Sheffield Wednesday admire Notts County manager Martin Paterson as they search for a new head coach following Henrik Pedersen's departure. The Daily Mail reports that Paterson has been under consideration for the vacant position at Hillsborough. However, former Stockport County manager Dave Challinor is reportedly considered the current favorite for the role, with Wednesday currently placed ninth in the League One table.

Paterson, who took over at Meadow Lane in June of last year, guided Notts County to promotion from League Two via the play-offs last season. Harry Mail of The72 notes that Challinor appears more likely to be appointed due to his past working relationship with Sheffield Wednesday sporting director Simon Wilson at Stockport County.
