Canadian goalkeeper Anna Karpenko suffers suspected knee injury in Montreal Roses draw

Montreal Roses goalkeeper Anna Karpenko suffered a suspected knee injury midway through the first half of Sunday's 0-0 draw against the Halifax Tides. The 24-year-old landed awkwardly following a clearance attempt in the 27th minute, prompting Gabrielle Lambert to replace her. Montreal Roses subsequently released a statement sending their thoughts to Karpenko and wishing her a full recovery.

Karpenko currently leads the Northern Super League with seven shutouts this season and has kept 14 clean sheets in 38 appearances for Montreal. A former Harvard senior and two-time Canada call-up, she previously served as a reserve goalkeeper for Canada at the 2024 SheBelieves Cup under the national team program.
