Billy Kenny explains why Everton was his only choice, despite Liverpool and Manchester United interest, in a new Royal Blue podcast interview.

Former Everton midfielder Billy Kenny has revealed that he chose to join Everton despite strong interest from rivals Liverpool and Manchester United during his youth career. Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Kenny recalled spending six weeks training with Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, while Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool also pursued him. Kenny explained that playing for Everton was his dream, making his ultimate decision straightforward.
Kenny made his Premier League debut for Everton in October 1992 and was named man of the match against Liverpool later that year. Everton released him in 1994 amid struggles with alcohol and drugs, which derailed his career. Now 53, Kenny has reflected on his career, recovery, and early recruitment in his book, The Goodison Gazza.
