Everton Under-21 striker Martin Sherif has reportedly been fined £5,000 following an investigation into betting rule breaches. The 20-year-old was originally charged by the Football Association in August with misconduct regarding 61 bets placed on football matches between November 2024 and February 2026. The reported sanction has not yet been officially confirmed through a published FA disciplinary decision.
According to reports, Sherif has also spoken with Everton academy players about the dangers of gambling. The forward joined Everton from Almere City in 2019 and gained senior experience on loan at Rotherham United and Port Vale last season.
