Cristiano Ronaldo has retired from international football and one former Man Utd colleague believes he could return to the club one day.

Former Manchester United strength and conditioning coach Mick Clegg believes Cristiano Ronaldo could return to Old Trafford as a manager or owner following his retirement from international football. The 41-year-old forward recently ended his Portugal career after scoring a record 146 goals in 234 caps, although he plans to continue playing at the club level.
Clegg stated that Ronaldo is an active planner who has observed many managers throughout his career and would be open-minded in a coaching role. Ronaldo's international departure followed a dispute with Portugal manager Jorge Jesus, but Clegg rejected suggestions that the decision was driven by ego.
