Bournemouth winger Marcus Tavernier's form has impressed Manchester United and Arsenal ahead of the January transfer window.

Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly competing to sign Bournemouth winger Marcus Tavernier, with Newcastle United also monitoring the attacker. According to a report from TEAMtalk cited by The Peoples Person, Manchester United's recruitment department, directed by Jason Wilcox, has been assessing Tavernier as part of wider plans to bolster their attack. Tavernier has scored six goals in 14 appearances across all competitions this season under manager Marco Rose.
United are actively exploring options on the left wing following Marcus Rashford's struggles with injuries and form. Tavernier is under contract with Bournemouth until the summer of 2029, and a permanent transfer during the January window could prove difficult to negotiate due to Bournemouth's reluctance to sanction a mid-season departure.
