Sarina Wiegman has signed a contract extension to remain head coach of the England women's national team through Euro 2029. Her previous contract was set to expire following next summer's World Cup. The deal provides Wiegman with an opportunity to guide the Lionesses toward three consecutive European championship titles.
England currently faces a two-leg playoff against Ukraine to qualify for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil. The agreement also opens the possibility of Wiegman managing Team GB at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, supported by assistants Janneke Bijl, Arvid Smit, and Darren Ward.
