The influential fan group won't be present at Thursday night's Europa League showdown against Celta Vigo…

Former Celtic player Frank McAvennie has criticized the Green Brigade ultras group for their boycott of home cup matches, arguing the protest harms the team. The ultras announced they will avoid European and Scottish Cup games at Parkhead and exit the Home Cup Ticket scheme to protest the club's board ahead of a crucial European match against Celta Vigo.
McAvennie stated on the Let Me Be Frank podcast that the players need full supporter backing to succeed in Europe. In contrast, fellow Celtic legend Chris Sutton defended the ultras, telling Record Sport that supporters are justified in voicing their frustration over European ambition.
