Former Celtic forward Teemu Pukki has announced he will retire from professional football at the conclusion of the current season. The 36-year-old Finnish striker is currently playing for HJK in Finland's Veikkausliiga, where his team is competing for the league title against Inter Turku. Pukki confirmed his final professional match will take place against Oulu on November 8.
Pukki joined Celtic from Schalke in 2013 for £3 million, scoring nine goals across 37 appearances during his spell at Parkhead. He later achieved notable success with Brondby and Norwich City before stints with MLS club Minnesota United and HJK. If HJK wins the title, it will mark Pukki's sixth career league championship.
