Scotland manager Sebastien Pocognoli has released Rangers player Findlay Curtis and Hearts striker James Wilson to the Under-21 squad. The two players trained with the senior team in Spain but were not expected to start Saturday's Nations League opener against Slovenia. Under-21 coach Tony Docherty will take both players for their upcoming European Championship qualifier against Azerbaijan at Rugby Park.

Scottish FA sources stated that Curtis and Wilson remain part of the senior squad plans for future Nations League matches. While the senior team travels to Slovenia, Docherty and the two players are returning to Scotland to ensure they receive playing time rather than sitting on the senior bench.
