Rangers player opens up on ‘mental’ couple of weeks as squad competition discussed

Rangers left-back James Penrice has welcomed the impending return of teammate Tuur Rommens from a groin injury that sidelined the Belgian since mid-August. Penrice, who joined the club on an initial season-long loan from AEK Athens, stated that competition for places across the squad is vital and will benefit the team as Rommens nears fitness after the international break.

Manager Derek McInnes will soon have both options available as Rangers maintain a six-game winning streak with four consecutive clean sheets. Penrice also addressed his omission from the Scotland national squad, explaining his sole focus has remained on settling back into Scottish football.
