Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali says Champions League qualification is vital to the club’s finances after years of losses and a difficult campaign.

Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali has stated that securing Champions League qualification is vital for the club's finances, warning that missing out would cause a severe economic setback. Speaking at the Festival dello Sport, Carnevali emphasized that Juventus is currently recording losses without Champions League revenue following a sixth-place Serie A finish last season that relegated the club to the Europa League.
Carnevali highlighted the club's nine consecutive years of financial losses, which included an approximate €199 million deficit in the 2023-24 accounts. He stressed the importance of complying with UEFA regulations while shifting toward developing young talent via the Next Gen squad, noting that the signing of Kerim Alajbegovic represents an investment in high-value potential.
