Roma suffered a blow in their Champions League clash with Real Madrid as Manu Kone…

Roma midfielder Manu Kone was forced off after only 17 minutes due to an apparent muscle injury during a UEFA Champions League match against Real Madrid at the Stadio Olimpico. The France international pulled up and was replaced by Niccolò Pisilli. During his medical treatment on the pitch, France teammates Kylian Mbappe, Ibrahima Konate, and Aurelien Tchouameni consoled him.
The injury represents another setback for Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini, who relies heavily on Kone in midfield. The 25-year-old previously faced fitness issues, including a substitution against Fenerbahce on Champions League matchday one, as well as hamstring and thigh injuries sustained last season.
