Como midfielder Nico Paz scored a brilliant chipped goal as Argentina defeated Bolivia 4-0 in an international friendly at Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium in Cordoba. Paz doubled Argentina's lead after latching onto an Ezequiel Palacios through ball, while Lautaro Martinez scored the opening goal. Argentina played without Lionel Messi, who is scheduled to make a final appearance against Benin on October 7.
Several Serie A players featured in the win, including Martinez, Paz, Roma's Leonardo Balerdi, and Fiorentina's Franco Mastantuono. Argentina will next face Burkina Faso as the national team prepares for the international retirement of their captain.
