  • Replays showed Hurricanes wicketkeeper Lizelle Lee positioned her gloves fractionally in front of the stumps.
The Story in 60 Seconds

The Melbourne Renegades secured a bizarre four-wicket victory over the Hobart Hurricanes following a rare last-ball no-ball decision at Bellerive Oval. With the scores tied at 154, Hurricanes wicketkeeper Lizelle Lee was penalized because her gloves were fractionally in front of the stumps during an attempted stumping of Deandra Dottin.

Under cricket laws, gathering the ball in front of the stumps without a batter contact results in a no-ball, granting the Renegades the match-winning extra run. Sophie Molineux claimed her 100th WBBL wicket with figures of 4/22 for the Renegades, while Hobart captain Nicola Carey contributed 62 runs and took 2/30.
