Aakash Chopra analyses India's pace bowling composition and the absence of Kuldeep Yadav from the playing XI at Indore.
Aakash Chopra analyzed India's bowling combination for the third T20I against West Indies in Indore, highlighting the team's balance issues. India fielded three specialist fast bowlers—Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav, and Mayank Yadav—alongside Axar Patel, Naman Dhir, and Nitish Kumar Reddy. This selection left out wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav to maintain batting depth down the order.
Chopra argued that because none of the specialist pacers can bat at number eight, India had to compromise on Kuldeep's inclusion despite spin-friendly conditions. He noted that seam-bowling all-rounders like Harshit Rana, Deepak Chahar, or Shardul Thakur would provide the batting support required to accommodate a specialist spinner.
