Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman has applied for an NOC from the BCB to play in the Big Bash League for the first time, with Melbourne Renegades his likely destination.
Bangladesh pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman has submitted a No Objection Certificate request to the Bangladesh Cricket Board to play in the Big Bash League. If approved, Mustafizur is expected to make his tournament debut with the Melbourne Renegades. BCB president Tamim Iqbal confirmed that both Mustafizur and leg-spinner Rishad Hossain have formally sought clearance to participate in the upcoming Australian T20 competition.
The BBL schedule in December and January directly clashes with the T20 segment of Bangladesh's domestic D3 tournament. Consequently, Mustafizur was only picked for D3's ODI format by Seven Rings Cement for 70 lakh virtual points. If cleared, he will become the second Bangladeshi cricketer to play for the Renegades after Shakib Al Hasan.
