F1 Practice Today: New Azerbaijan Grand Prix Thursday schedule, times and TV channel

Formula 1 has shifted its schedule for the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku forward by 24 hours to avoid overlapping with Azerbaijan's National Remembrance Day on Sunday, September 27. Consequently, Free Practice 1 and Free Practice 2 take place on Thursday, September 24, followed by qualifying on Friday and the main grand prix race on Saturday, September 26.

Heading into the weekend, Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli holds an 81-point championship lead over teammate George Russell. Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton trails Antonelli by 101 points, while McLaren's Lando Norris is anticipated to be the closest challenger to Mercedes around the Baku street circuit.
