The FIA has confirmed it has opened an investigation into Lewis Hamilton following an incident in FP2 at the F1 Bahrain GP in Malaysia.

The FIA has confirmed an investigation into Lewis Hamilton after an incident during second practice. Hamilton appeared to block Audi driver Gabriel Bortoleto while on a cooldown lap, forcing Bortoleto to take avoiding action and ride the curb before passing on the inside.
Bortoleto expressed frustration over team radio and was subsequently summoned to the stewards to provide evidence. Hamilton told his Ferrari team over the radio that an issue with his right mirror had compromised his visibility prior to the encounter.
