Fortescue are continuing to prepare for its first season in Formula E, with its first driver now announced.

Fortescue Zero Racing has signed Taylor Barnard as its first driver ahead of its Formula E entry for the 2026/27 campaign. The 22-year-old Briton joins the new outfit following Fortescue's acquisition of his former team, DS Penske. Team principal Jim Wright described Barnard as the initial piece of the team's project.
Barnard enters the squad having already become the youngest race winner in Formula E history. Over two seasons in the all-electric championship, he has recorded one victory, two pole positions, and six podium finishes.
