George Russell has taken the forthright stance that Red Bull is now the "team to beat" in F1 after its ominous return to form over the recent triple-header.

George Russell has declared Red Bull the "team to beat" in Formula 1 following Max Verstappen's consecutive victories in Malaysia and Singapore. Verstappen's resurgence followed a major Baku-spec upgrade package on the RB22, which allowed Red Bull to challenge Mercedes across contrasting circuit profiles.
Mercedes team-mate Andrea Kimi Antonelli partially countered Russell's assessment after finishing third in Singapore. Antonelli argued that Mercedes' current deficit stems largely from the team failing to extract maximum performance from its own recent development package, rather than Red Bull decisively taking over as the fastest outfit.
