Franco Colapinto has issued an impassioned plea to his fans after a number of incidents involving them and treatment of other drivers on social media.

Alpine driver Franco Colapinto has released a direct statement urging his supporters to stop attacking rival drivers, teammates, and team personnel on social media. Colapinto expressed gratitude for his fanbase's enthusiasm but stressed that online hostility harms both his career and his team. He also confirmed he has stepped away from social media to focus on his racing.
The plea follows significant online backlash aimed at other Formula 1 drivers, including Lando Norris and Alpine teammate Pierre Gasly. Alpine executive advisor Flavio Briatore had previously threatened a media blackout against Argentinian outlets if the abuse did not cease.
