George Russell's F1 adventure is going through quite a turbulent spell in recent times but at least he now has something to shout about.

Mercedes driver George Russell finished atop the unofficial 2026 Formula 1 sprint standings following the final sprint race at the Singapore Grand Prix. Russell secured 34 total sprint points across six events, claiming sprint race victories in Shanghai, Montreal, and Zandvoort. He clinched first place on countback over Ferrari's Charles Leclerc after McLaren teammates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri collided on the final lap.
Norris had been running in position to secure the unofficial sprint crown before his late collision with Piastri left him in eighth place. Mercedes also topped the unofficial constructors' sprint standings with 65 points, edging out Ferrari's 61 points.
