For three consecutive years, Lando Norris has now claimed pole position at Interlagos.

McLaren driver Lando Norris claimed his third consecutive pole position at the São Paulo Grand Prix after mastering torrential, rain-hit qualifying conditions at Interlagos on Saturday. Norris beat Mercedes driver George Russell to the fastest time, noting he quickly figured out how to drive the car in wet conditions during his first wet-weather running of the season.
Qualifying was heavily disrupted by weather, featuring an 82-minute delay after Q1 was red-flagged just two and a half minutes into the session. Despite finishing second fastest, Russell will drop five places due to an internal combustion engine penalty, allowing Kimi Antonelli to start on the front row alongside Norris.
