Toto Wolff has reiterated Mercedes' equal approach to their drivers after criticising "nonsensical" accusations of favouritism towards Kimi Antonelli over George Russell.

Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff has strongly denied accusations of favouritism toward Kimi Antonelli over George Russell, calling the speculation "completely nonsensical" and describing critics making those claims as "brainless." Speaking on Friday at the Singapore Grand Prix, Wolff insisted that Mercedes operates with integrity and has consistently maintained an equal approach for both drivers, rejecting social media claims that the team is purposefully disadvantaging Russell.
Wolff addressed rumors that grew after Russell suffered an engine failure at the previous race in Malaysia, which left Antonelli leading the Drivers’ Championship by 84 points. Wolff explained that the team's decision to split car specifications in Singapore, running Antonelli on a recent upgrade while Russell reverts to Azerbaijan specifications, is purely experimental to evaluate performance rather than a sign of political favoritism.
