Jon Rahm, who is owed north of $100 million, rejected LIV's proposed terms for his participation in its "2.0" vision. Here's what we know.

Jon Rahm is officially leaving LIV Golf after rejecting proposed terms for the breakaway league's restructured "LIV 2.0" format. The announcement was made by his lawyer, John Beck, during a bankruptcy hearing on Wednesday. Rahm's legal team and LIV representatives are currently engaged in advanced discussions to finalize a consensual separation agreement by October 15, marking a significant blow to the struggling organization.
LIV Golf filed for bankruptcy and shortened its 2026 season following a funding cut from the Saudi Public Investment Fund. Court filings indicate Rahm is still owed more than $100 million from his original contract. While Rahm's path back to the PGA Tour remains uncertain, alternative playing options include competing on the DP World Tour next season.
