The Atlanta Braves announced news involving right-hander Didier Fuentes after being eliminated from the MLB playoffs.

Following the Atlanta Braves' elimination from the MLB postseason by the Los Angeles Dodgers, president of baseball operations Alex Anthopoulos announced that right-handed pitcher Didier Fuentes will enter spring training as a starter next season. Anthopoulos noted that Fuentes's exact role will depend on team needs, adding that Atlanta may cap his workload at around 130 innings if he starts.
The 21-year-old Colombian pitcher worked out of the bullpen this season, recording a 2.45 ERA with 92 strikeouts across 73 regular-season innings before making postseason appearances. Anthopoulos also discussed broader offseason plans, mentioning potential innings limitations for returning rotation options Spencer Strider and Hurston Waldrep or other pitchers, as well as impending free-agent decisions.
