Orioles Acquire 32-Year-Old Pitcher in Early Offseason Move

The Baltimore Orioles have signed 32-year-old right-handed relief pitcher Jackson Rees to a 2027 minor-league contract. Rees, who has never pitched in a Major League Baseball game, signed alongside right-hander Gerald Ogando as part of an early offseason depth move. The deal does not include an invitation to major-league spring training.

Rees originally signed with the Toronto Blue Jays as an undrafted free agent in 2018 before being released in 2024. He recently revived his career in the Mexican League with Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos, posting a 2.63 ERA across 24 innings in 2026.
