Despite putting together one of the best seasons of his career, a veteran Red Sox pitcher acknowledged that he's considering walking away from the game.

Boston Red Sox veteran pitcher Sonny Gray stated he is contemplating retirement following the team's season-ending 9-2 playoff loss to the New York Yankees. The 36-year-old right-hander, who is set to reach free agency this winter, confirmed he has not yet decided whether he will return for another season.
Gray delivered a strong debut season in Boston, finishing 18-5 with a 2.72 ERA over 169 innings. In his final outing, he expressed frustration after manager Chad Tracy removed him with two outs in the fifth inning after only 70 pitches.
