Red Sox-Yankees Wild Card games set for prime time on NBC

Major League Baseball announced the schedule and television broadcast details for the Wild Card Series between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. The series begins Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET in the Bronx, with Game 2 scheduled for Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET. If necessary, Game 3 will also likely take place at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday. The games will be broadcast across NBC and Peacock.

The Yankees named Cy Young candidate Cam Schlittler as their Game 1 starting pitcher. Boston has yet to confirm a starter, though Sonny Gray and Payton Tolle are considered the top contenders. Announcer Jason Benetti is expected to lead NBC's broadcast team, which marks the network's first MLB postseason coverage since 2000.
