The Cleveland Guardians are on the brink of postseason elimination after a 4-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox in Game 2 of the AL Division Series on Monday at Progressive Field. Cleveland now trails the best-of-five series 2-0, with Game 3 scheduled for Wednesday at Rate Field.
Cleveland's offense has struggled, producing only three runs on seven hits and going 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position across the first two games. The Guardians scored two runs in the first inning on an error by Sean Newcomb and added an RBI triple from Jo Adell in the eighth.
