Freddie Freeman defended Atlanta Braves fans for booing him during the Los Angeles Dodgers' 3-1 victory in Game 3 of the NLDS at Truist Park. Playing his first postseason game in Atlanta as a visitor, Freeman stated that he expects boos while wearing a road uniform and holds no negative feelings toward the crowd.
Freeman hit a solo home run off Chris Sale in the fourth inning to extend Los Angeles' lead, marking his 18th career postseason homer. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts commended Freeman's focused approach and strong at-bats despite the hostile atmosphere.
