Cavs rookie turns heads with tough bucket over Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley

Cleveland Cavaliers rookie guard Meleek Thomas impressed during Saturday's training camp practice in Spain by scoring a contested fadeaway jumper over stars Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley. A video shared by the Cavaliers showed the 20-year-old rookie backing Mitchell into the post and baiting Mobley into leaving his feet before knocking down the difficult shot.

Thomas arrived in Cleveland via a draft-night trade after the Sacramento Kings drafted him 34th overall and exchanged him for 29th pick Alex Karaban. Prior to entering the NBA, Thomas spent one collegiate season at Arkansas, averaging 15.6 points and shooting 41.6% from three-point range across 37 games.
