Alperen Sengun has perfect opportunity for another breakout

Space City Scoop's Swoosh Shrestha argues that Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun is positioned for another breakout leap this season. In the season opener against the Dallas Mavericks, Sengun recorded 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists, while also converting both of his 3-point attempts. Shrestha highlights that improved playmaking from teammates Fred VanVleet and Marcus Smart has created better scoring opportunities for the 24-year-old big man.

The article notes that Sengun effectively facilitated the offense alongside 30-point scoring performances from Kevin Durant and Jabari Smith Jr. However, the writer emphasizes that Sengun must address his ball security after committing four turnovers in traffic, arguing that reducing mistakes will be crucial as the Rockets progress toward playoff contention.
