Brooks Barnhizer took no time to make his presence felt heading into year two with the OKC Thunder.

Mark Nilon of Thunderous Intentions writes that Oklahoma City Thunder wing Brooks Barnhizer showed strong potential in Tuesday's preseason opener against the New Orleans Pelicans. Entering his sophomore season on a two-way deal, Barnhizer logged 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and a block while shooting 80.0 percent from the field across 25 minutes of action.
Nilon argues this performance provides hope for the Thunder after Barnhizer experienced a limited rookie year averaging just 1.7 points per game. With Oklahoma City holding a vacant standard roster spot before their regular-season opener against the San Antonio Spurs, Nilon suggests general manager Sam Presti could consider promoting Barnhizer if his preseason form continues.
