Portland Trail Blazers owner Tom Dundon sent a letter to season ticket holders pledging to turn the franchise into a championship contender. Dundon highlighted the development of Deni Avdija, Donovan Clingan, and Toumani Camara, expressing optimism about incorporating Ja Morant and Damian Lillard. He stated his expectation for Portland to take another step forward during the 2026/27 campaign following their previous 42-40 season.
While addressing planned Moda Center renovations, Dundon stopped short of guaranteeing the Trail Blazers' long-term future in Portland. The franchise and the city of Portland remain in ongoing discussions regarding rent, ticket taxes, property taxes, and union labor ahead of a December funding deadline.
