Miles Bridges taking defending seriously and being used as a center in small-ball lineups could be a game-changer for the Suns.

Writer Luke Duffy argues that Phoenix Suns forward Miles Bridges could be effectively utilized as a small-ball center following his media day goal of forming a defensive nightmare pairing with Dillon Brooks. Duffy suggests head coach Jordan Ott could deploy Bridges at the five against certain matchups to unlock dynamic and athletic lineup variations.
According to Duffy, deploying Bridges at center alongside Devin Booker, Jalen Green, Koa Peat, and Brooks could mask defensive weaknesses while maximizing offensive spacing. Duffy contends that committing to strong defense would allow Bridges to provide two-way versatility that benefits the Suns across multiple positional groups.
