Dillon Brooks has spent the offseason preparing for another year with the Phoenix Suns after a career-best scoring campaign. The physical forward recently signed a multi-year extension and remains a key piece of the roster.
Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks has been formally charged with a Class 1 misdemeanor for driving under the influence in Scottsdale, Arizona. The criminal complaint, filed on Monday, stems from an arrest in March after police stopped his Rolls-Royce for weaving through lanes. Brooks, who registered a 0.0 on a breathalyzer but was arrested amid a strong marijuana odor, is scheduled to appear in court on October 28.
Brooks faces an additional misdemeanor charge for reckless driving and speeding related to a January incident where he allegedly reached 85 mph in a 45 mph zone. The Suns confirmed they are aware of the situation and have spoken to Brooks, though no discipline or suspension has been announced as the team prepares for training camp.
