The Portland Trail Blazers completed the second day of their 2026-27 training camp in Tualatin, with media sessions featuring head coach Micah Nori, Ja Morant, and Donovan Clingan. Morant reported that he is capitalizing on more catch-and-shoot three-pointers during practice, which he expects to translate to regular-season play. Meanwhile, Nori described new reserve center Branden Carlson as becoming a quick cult hero among fans due to his energetic play and personality.
Addressing the team's rotation, Nori stated that nothing is set in stone regarding the starting lineup, noting that closing lineups will be situational based on specific in-game needs. Additionally, Clingan noted team camaraderie among frontcourt players, mentioning that he, Carlson, and Micah Potter played golf together prior to camp.
