It’s been a wild summer for NBA star Kawhi Leonard. After a years-long investigation uncovered his involvement in a cap circumvention scheme, he was forced to issue an apology after paying a $700K fine.
Kawhi Leonard has addressed the recent cap circumvention scandal involving the LA Clippers following his trade to the Toronto Raptors. Leonard stated that he does not follow the ongoing investigation, noting that both the NBA and the Players Association handled their respective roles after he previously issued an apology and paid a $700,000 fine.
Now preparing for the upcoming season, Leonard explained that he is undergoing a gradual ramp-up process under a minutes restriction. The 35-year-old forward, who signed a two-year, $115 million contract extension, added that he is focused on his health and expects to be fully active soon as he begins his second stint in Toronto.
