Michael DiPietro made 26 saves for the Bruins in his third career start and first since Jan. 23, 2022, with Vancouver.

Kirill Kaprizov scored two goals to lead the Minnesota Wild to a 4-1 victory over the Boston Bruins on Saturday night in St. Paul. Jesper Wallstedt stopped 26 shots, while Quinn Hughes and Jared Spurgeon also scored for Minnesota in their home opener. Tanner Jeannot scored the lone goal for Boston less than two minutes into the first period.
Michael DiPietro made 26 saves for Boston in his first NHL start since January 2022. Kaprizov leveled the game on a second-period power play before Hughes scored on a five-on-three advantage. Minnesota went on to seal the victory with an early third-period deflection from Spurgeon and an empty-net goal from Kaprizov.
