The New York Rangers recalled Taylor Raddysh from AHL Hartford while sending down forward Jaroslav Chmelar. Raddysh started the season with five points in five AHL games, providing depth and penalty-killing experience. Meanwhile, the Dallas Stars placed Oskar Back on injured reserve after he sustained an upper-body injury against Colorado, and the Montreal Canadiens announced Florian Xhekaj is out for two weeks with a lower-body injury.
Chmelar returns to the AHL after going scoreless in seven NHL games with limited ice time. Dallas will miss Back's shorthanded contributions after he inked a contract extension through 2026-27, while Montreal navigates forward lineup adjustments following additional roster injuries.
